At Cardiff Speech and Drama you will find expert coaching and tuition for all your voice and speech needs. We have been providing professional training in all aspects of speech and drama since our foundation more than two decades ago.

We provide a complete service for public speaking and presentation skills as well as accent reduction, elocution, acting and examinations.  We very successfully treat stammers and speech impediments. Clients can take LAMDA and RADA examinations and coaching is available for drama school entry.

We specialise in helping clients with a wide variety of voice and speech problems become positive, clear and polished in their presentation.

Public speaking clients are taught speech writing and presentation skills as well as effective methods for conquering nerves.

Speech impediments are assessed and treated. Our methods for the treatment of stammering have been very successful.

Accents are softened for both native and foreign speakers to enable clear and positive communication.

Clients have the opportunity to take the internationally recognised and accredited external examinations of The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (knows as LAMDA) as well as the RADA Shakespeare Certificate.

We work with children from age 4 and adults of any age. Classes take the form of private tuition at our own premises and clients come from all over Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan and South Wales. We can also arrange training at a venue of your choice.

Clients work hard in our sessions but also derive a great deal of enjoyment from them. All clients learn the basic "golden rules": speak slowly, open your mouth, end your words. You learn to listen to your speech and spot the mistakes. Then you can start to correct them with the help of tongue twisters, poems and speech exercises. Prepared texts are used to provide variety of pitch, pace and tune.  Voice work includes training in breathing, relaxation and breath support leading to a well projected, resonant voice.  Verbal and non-verbal communication is covered with all clients of whatever age to give them poise, clarity and confidence.
