Children’s Online Elocution and Accent Reduction via Skype
Do you want to improve your children’s prospects by improving their speech? Would you like them to speak with a clear, bright British accent? Many accent reduction and elocution specialists only deal with adults. Here at Cardiff Speech & Drama we have been working with children for 35 years. We work with the whole age range from age 4, right through to adult. The work is fun, accessible and relevant, helping children of all ages to become fluent, well spoken and confident.
The exciting news is that this high quality training is available via Skype, regardless of where in the world you live. Children love technology and find no difficulty in working via a webcam. Teenagers often prefer this medium. As with the adults, children and young people have their lesson recorded as an MP3 file and placed on Dropbox to be retrieved and used in further home practice. All materials are emailed to you and progress is closely monitored. All of the areas of work on our website are open to your children, and the possibilities for their future are enormous. The Skype sessions can be booked at short notice, so there is no need to put your name on the waiting list as you would if you wished to have regular evening training in person.
Our clients take the LAMDA examinations in The Speaking of Verse and Prose, Spoken English, Public Speaking, Acting and Devising Drama, and our examination results are outstanding. Full training for LAMDA exams can be given via Skype, or if your child is taking these examinations at school or Youth Theatre near your home they could benefit from our individual coaching sessions to give their grades a final polish.

This is her 6th examination and she is bright, confident and well spoken, giving her much better prospects for the future.

The sessions are half an hour long and cost £35/session for an immediate start. These sessions can take place any time between 8am and 3pm UK time.
Children can also have tuition via Skype as part of the regular evening half hour slots. The cost of these is £20/half hour. Bookings are made half a term in advance. As with the lessons for clients who come in person, it is always necessary to be placed on the waiting list for these sessions. The wait is usually at least three months.
